Shaquille O'Neal, born in 1972 in Newark, New Jersey, is one of the most dominant centers in NBA history.

After a brilliant college career at LSU, he was selected as the first overall pick in the 1992 draft by the Orlando Magic, where he immediately became a superstar, leading the team to the 1995 Finals. In 1996 he moved to the Los Angeles Lakers, forming one of the strongest duos of all time with Kobe Bryant: together they won three consecutive titles (2000, 2001, 2002) and Shaq was Finals MVP on all three occasions.
In 2004, he moved to the Miami Heat, winning another title in 2006 alongside Dwyane Wade. His final seasons were split between the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics, before retiring in 2011. O'Neal was a 15-time All-Star, MVP in 2000, and a Hall of Fame inductee since 2016.

Beyond basketball, he has become a true pop icon: an actor, television commentator, entrepreneur, and DJ. His combination of physical power and charisma has left an indelible mark on NBA culture.
